Lefty Lucy is a four-piece riot grrrl-fusion band based in Charleston, SC. Led by singer/bassist Lyla Carpenter, guitarist Lila Elm, keyboardist Claire Duane, and drummer June Murdock, their fury of noise will make you want to head bang. The band has been called a distorted, synthy, horror-punk enigma with a mix of Lila’s heavy guitar riffs, June’s thunderous drum beats, Claire’s entrancing keyboard lines, and Lyla’s grunge-influenced bass lines and gut-wrenching vocals, the band does not like to lay inside the lines.
