Babe Haven & The Rosies
Babe Haven Bio
Babe Haven is a high-energy queer punk band that riots in Durham, NC. This lineup doesn’t just push boundaries in their songs and on stage; they also challenge their audience to be active in and outside of the pit. With a mission to elevate femme-presenting individuals, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, they transform each show into a sanctuary of empowerment and acceptance.
Babe Haven has been setting stages ablaze and selling out shows, quickly becoming an iconic DIY staple of the Southeast. Their sound can be classified as early 00s nu-metal rebellion meets riot grrrl sass – a sonic assault that grabs you by the ears and refuses to let go.
Babe Haven’s sophomore album – “Nuisance” – delivers a distinctive blend of nu metal, thrash, and punk, resulting in a sound that is both unique and raw.
Written/recorded by Lillie Della Penna (vocals), Naomi Poesel (guitar), Julia Lynn (bass) and Brendan Martini (drums) the fast-paced, hard-hitting tracks usher in an unmatched energy that sets it apart in today’s music scene.

The Maxines Bio
The Maxines is a four-piece all-female grunge band based in Savannah, Georgia led by AJ Grey on vocals, twins Coco and Maddie Oke on drums and guitar, and Emma Faith Smith on bass. The Maxines’ sound is an intoxicating mesh of grunge rock and metal that leaves the listener with an addicting dose of nostalgia. Maddie Oke’s swoon-worthy guitar riffs paired with AJ Grey’s angsty, moody vocals have been called “visceral” and “damaging.” With Grey stomping around in big boots, ripped fishnets, and spikes, The Maxines have a reputation for their high-powered, in-your-face live shows. The Maxines are distinct, dark, and provocative, and they command your attention right at the first note.
Slow Funeral Bio
Slow Funeral is the alias of South Carolina-based musician Mary Norris. She released her first single as Slow Funeral, “I Loved You In Another Life,” in November 2021. Shortly after, Norris put all of her energy into defining herself and her sound through abraded lyrical and musical vulnerability. Her alt-rock band is a marriage of her 90s influences, such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, The Cranberries, and Nirvana, paired with her Americana roots, such as Jason Isbell, Bruce Springsteen, and John Prine. Performing as a 4-piece, Slow Funeral’s live performances have been making early impact in the Southeast, having already shared the stage with acts like Slothrust, owen (Mike Kinsella of American Football), Chase Petra, Molly Martin, and more.
Slow Funeral also completed their first southeast tour in fall/winter of 2023. Norris is currently working with producer Corey Campbell on her debut album, Conditions of Trust, after being awarded community/project grants through Chapman Cultural Center, The Metropolitan Arts Council, and The South Carolina Arts Commission (release date TBD). The album covers Norris’s experiences growing up and living in poverty in the south, along with topics of abuse, patriarchy, heartbreak, and healing. The first single from the record, “Bugs,” was released on December 8th, 2023, followed by “Purple Roses,” and most recently, “Hanging,” released on June 21st, 2024.
